Women Celebrate Each Other While Supporting a Good Cause

The sixth annual Style With a Cause taking place at The Gramercy Residences in Las Vegas on Oct. 3 will once again highlight the fact that the empowerment of women is always in fashion. The event, which benefits the Court Appointed Special Advocates Foundation (CASA), is hosted by Las Vegas stylist Jenna Doughton and offers interactive activations including organization classes hosted by Melanie Walker and the Neat Method team, dry stylings by Vent Blotique, a tattoo parlor, psychic and spiritual readings provided by Dallisa Hocking and her spiritual tribe of Spirit & Spark, and other empowerment stations.

Style With a Cause is the ultimate girls’ night out with a portion of the proceeds benefiting CASA’s programs, which help identify and fund the individual needs of abused and neglected children in foster care in Clark County. In addition, Doughton has selected a member of the organization to receive a head-to-toe beauty transformation provided by Tadashi, Kelly Cardenas Salon, Saks Fifth Avenue and Kendra Scott. And for the rest of the attendees, it’s a night full of fashion trends, beauty tips and fashion shows.

“Women have worthiness issues,” says Daughton, who has been a stylist for 25 years and has worked with a lot of celebrities and professional athletes. “They always think they could be richer, prettier or skinnier. Beyond the closet door, people have roadblocks that have been imprinted on them all of their lives. Even the most powerful individuals can be uncomfortable with themselves. I shop for people for a living. One of most rewarding things for me is helping an everyday woman find her voice through fashion. I help her figure out a style that helps to reflect who she is. I am actually a life stylist.

“Style With a Cause is a platform where women can come together and celebrate each other,” she adds. “We want this event to showcase the people who are working tirelessly to make the community a better place. CASA is my charity partner this year and I chose member Verise Campbell for the beauty transformation that will be unveiled at the event along with her story. This is an evening that doesn’t judge women but rather exudes the message to each and every one that you have something the world needs and that you are valuable and worthy. This event is about empowering and inspiring women through fashion and beauty.”

There are three different ticket packages, including the $300 “Pampered and Perfect VIP Ticket,” which includes a blowout the day of the event from Vent Blotique, a makeover and spa treatments, food and beverage samplings, and a swag bag. Guests’ names will also be entered into a special drawing to win VVIP raffle prizes and entry to the VVIP gifting and pampering suite.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Clark County, Las Vegas, Nevada, believes that all children have the right to safe, healthy, stable homes, free from abuse and neglect. CASA volunteers are trained to advocate for abused and neglected children in the Clark County Family Court. The CASA volunteer, serving as a court-appointed advocate for the child, will prevent the child from getting lost in the system by being sensitive to the child’s needs and presenting these needs to the court.  Through these advocacy efforts, the CASA volunteer is working with the court to ensure that every child has a chance for a brighter future.
