Sustainably Chic: Culthread Vegan Handbags

Bosworth (left) & Ledbury (right)

Ethical, vegan lifestyle brand, culthread recently introduced two chic handbags to its collections. The female owned London based company was founded in 2018 as a response to being unable to find high quality vegan, ethically-made outerwear and bags. The slow fashion brand makes high quality coats and lifestyle products that are planet and animal friendly.

Culthread products are made from recycled and deadstock—leftover fabrics from production, often owing to buffer stocks, which would otherwise end up as waste—materials. The ethically, handmade products offer stylish and practical solutions for the conscious consumer.

Made with softest recycled vegan leather, the Bosworth is supple yet durable. Lined in olive recycled fabric the bag comes equipped with everything needed to keep you organized, including a water bottle pouch, large laptop compartment, phone pocket, inside zipped pocket for valuables, a double zip closure and a wide fleece base. Its fleece handles make it comfortable to carry. The light-weight Bosworth is a perfect every-day, multiple-use bag.

Culthread’s first recycled vegan leather backpack, the Ledbury, reinvents its classic style as a refined, elegant ‘power’ bag suitable for carrying all of the essentials: laptop, phone, and valuables. The plush adjustable shoulder straps are finished with a Pinatex trim – the luxurious vegan material made from pineapples.

As with all culthread products, both the Bosworth and Ledbury are insulated with up to ten re-cycled plastic bottles.

All culthread products are packaged inside a unique ‘deadstock’ laundry bag with logo and handle which are intended to be repurposed.
