Coinciding with the ninth Les Voiles de St. Barth Richard Mille regatta in the French Antilles — with which Mille has been a key partner since the world-renowned event originated in 2010 — was the unveiling of the the new RM 60-01 Automatic Flyback Chronograph Regatta 50-piece limited-edition watch.
The 50-piece limited-edition timepiece is available exclusively at Richard Mille boutiques throughout the Americas, including Las Vegas inside The Shops at Crystals located at CityCenter on the Strip.
Dedicated to the popular Caribbean celebrity respite’s annual super and maxi yacht races, running April 8-14, the Swiss watch brand and title sponsor have revealed the 2018 limited-edition technical watch for sailing, which is designed and built to be comfortable, fashionable and helpful in navigating the sea.

Having a bright yellow flange, indicators and rubber wrist strap, this Richard Mille watch is highly visible. And, with the Les Voiles de St. Barth logo displayed on the sapphire caseback, this latest version of the RM 60-01 is a regattas must-have.
The RMAC2 automatic grade 5 titanium caliber runs the nearly 2-inch (50 mm) titanium watch, which features a complete flyback chronograph, annual calendar with oversize date, running seconds and Coordinated Universal Time, or UTC, function.
The chronograph pushers have a special quick-locking and releasing mechanism that is activated by a turn of the secondary crown, acting as a safety measure in preventing unintentional changes to the chronograph readout.
With its bidirectional rotating bezel featuring a compass and graduated 360-degree, 24-hour scale disk, the RM 60-01 adds navigational capabilities. Once the user knows the local time and position of the sun, the RM 60-01 can determine the current location.

Easily activated and operated, all the user needs to do is simply direct the UTC indicator toward the sun by using the pusher located at 9 o’clock and then turn the bezel to align the UTC hand with the actual local time engraved on the bezel’s circumference.
After being set, the compass headings North, South, East and West on the bezel will align accurately with the actual direction on the Earth’s surface.
Other features of the RM 60-01 Automatic Flyback Chronograph Regatta include grade 5 titanium baseplate, bridges and balance cock in; a free-sprung balance with variable inertia; double-barrel system; 30-minute countdown timer; 24-hour totalizer; water resistant up to approximately 328 feet (100 meters); and power reserve of about 50 hours.
