Behold a work in progress, a masterpiece. She the master of her peace — capitain of her fate. Wisdom and beauty displayed in ribbons of gray. Day by day, step by step, she walks in faith, as she takes her place centerstage.”

After a rewarding 20-plus-year career as an award-winning journalist and editor, I made a significant life shift. Amid the COVID pandemic, I moved back to my hometown of Sioux Falls, SD, following my marriage. I’ve since completed my MA in Creative Writing at Wilkes University and am now embarking on my MFA journey. As a published poet and children’s book author, I continue to be an active member of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP).

Currently, we split our time between Las Vegas, New York, and South Dakota. I remain dedicated to writing about a wide array of subjects including celebrities, entertainment, travel, fashion, food and wine, and sustainable living for both print and online outlets.  {I’m always on the lookout for new writing opportunities}

Outside of my academic and professional commitments, I have a passion for travel, with New York, Paris, Italy, and various wine countries being among my favorite destinations. In the summer, much of our time is spent in the Black Hills and Wyoming, where we enjoy spending time exploring nature with our horses, Jake, Conrad, and London, accompanied by our Airedale Terrier, Izzy.
